Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon created by flood waters coming into one major wash from hundreds of miles away. The canyon is incredibly narrow and made of soft Navajo sandstone making it constantly changing. Just three days ago the floor of the canyon was three feet above where it was today. Over the coming months, smaller storms will deposit more sand and elevate the floor again.

The visit was amazing and we took a ridiculous number of photos. The one posted here was a cell phone making it easy to post, but I easily took a couple hundred with our ‘real’ camera. I will try to post more when we get home.
