We just had parent orientation for 2nd grade students. Rylie doesn’t know anyone in her class, which is fine. This teacher is far more structured than what she is accustomed, also not a bad thing. Her teacher has over one thousand books in the room and all are categorized for maximum reading development, a very good thing. But having a nametag on her desk, with an owl on it? Fantastic. I laughed out loud.
