The Aircraft Routing Gods dictate that it is cheaper to fly from San Francisco to Los Angeles if you stop in Las Vegas. I’m not geographic genius, but I know enough to be able to say with certainty that it doesn’t make any sense. But it was the difference between a $350 fare and a $59 fare. When it comes to money and value, I can see the benefit to the routing.
So, a nice first class bump on both legs. With only 25 people on the flight from San Francisco to Vegas I had first class to myself and my own personal flight attendant. Now THAT is a great way to travel. Hopefully we will have a little time in LA as my traveling partner has never been there either. I can’t wait to introduce her to traffic. Real traffic. Not that silly little congestion we get in Pittsburgh.
In a couple hours I will be landing in LA, for another meeting with a different FDA person, and then a quick dinner and on a plane back to Pittsburgh through Phoenix in the morning. Its been a whirlwind trip, but worthwhile. Besides, I like the frequent flyer miles.
