Don’t get me wrong, I love my job. The working environment is fantastic, the teams I work with are outstanding, and they are already letting me hire some help. That being said, I need a vacation in the worst way.

Nothing has gone right at work for two weeks. I’ve been working like crazy at night to try and have the house at least partially ready for my family. I tired. To the point that I’m barely sleeping.

I’m at the airport about leave the 110+ degree heat for the 99% humidity of Longboat Key, Florida. It will be great. I can’t wait to just sit in the Gulf of Mexico with its gentle waves and bath like waters, playing with the kids, and enjoying friends.

It will hopefully be just what I need. Ironically, it was this same vacation last year that spawned the idea for this blog, and the picture of me and family on this page was taken there. Maybe it’s time for an update…
