We spent New Year’s Eve in Harmony, PA at their German New Year Celebration. They drop the ball and set off fireworks at 6 pm local time because it corresponds with the German New Year.

We were joined by friends and the kids were sure to make sure everyone heard their little horns.

The fireworks were impressive, or, as Rylie put it, “I could feel them in my pants.”

The rest of the evening was spent with friends. We are so fortunate to have so many wonderful friends here. The people around us have certainly blurred the lines of friends versus family.

We hope that 2012 is a wonderful year for everyone!
